In deconstructing the new iPod Shuffle logo (while waiting for PDFs to process at work), I noticed that the folks at Chiat/Day made the negative space between the two arrow heads in the shape of an ear-bud. And the triangle of negative space beyond that is sort of a symbol of the music being broadcast. Maybe I am reading too much into this. This pic is my quick attempt at re-creating, though my ear-bud of negative space looks more like a Brandy sniffer.
