Say It Ain't So Bob: (from NYTimes.com)

With "Meet the Fockers," Mr. De Niro continues his decadelong campaign to destroy his legend by sending up the ferocious screen persona he constructed with Mr. Scorsese. Since legends are often forgotten as soon as they're anointed, it is hard to blame Mr. De Niro, though it would be nice if someone gave him a role as richly funny as the murderous stoner he played in "Jackie Brown." "Meet the Fockers" is, like its antecedent, a crude entertainment, and Mr. De Niro responds in kind by delivering a caricature of the icon known as Robert De Niro. Like Ms. Streisand and Mr. Hoffman, he is mostly on tap to stand in the middle of the frame and fill up the holes in the movie with his aura.
