Survived the Poetry Massacre

On the advice of Chad I went to a Saturday portion of the Boston Poetry Massacre held at the WordsWorth Books in Harvard Square.

I thought this close-up I took of a tombstone was an appropriate back-drop.

The female poet in the collage said that she had been thinking what the blood splattered walls would look like if all the poets fought with bull whips and ice picks. She had good stage presence and was well received by the crowd. As I was leaving I heard a girl say, "I was waiting for a female poet to show some swagger, and she did."
