My Sister and some Kid

Well, with all these celebrity sighting posted this week on people's blogs because of the DNC - I decided to look in my photo album from 1998 or so when my little sister met Scott Thompson before a booksigning. Although he looks somehwat chipper in the pic, he was pretty grumpy at 1:30 in the afternoon because he was running late to the signing. My sister and I had been staking out the front of the bookstore on Boylston Street by sitting in front of Bruegger's Bagels for 45 minutes. We had a code word set up, so when he came out of his cab I said "Thunder" and she got ready to pounce. Another guy was waiting with a polaroid camera and stared jumping up and down when he saw Scott. Later that night, we had front row seats at the Comedy Connection for some ol' fashioned Canadian humor.
