New Years 2005

Thanks to Dmitry and Victoria for having us over for some bubbly. I lifted their 4th floor screen window - and looking down the malden street - I could see the Boston fireworks surprisngly clear on the horizon - past Everett. The weather was very serene and agreeable, hopefully that will be a sign of things to come in the new year. This is a shot of some Russian style baking soda. The design of the box makes it seem magical, like it has the pink sponge under its spell. Like the sponge is gently lifting itself up to face the box - like a flower to the sun. Said bubbly might be causing me to deconstruct this photo too much. Perhaps its time to click "post entry" and give in to sleep for the first time this year. I hope everybody reading this has a great year.
