Stuck on You
Driving to my weekend job for the second to last time, taking the bend of route 2 to Memorial Drive, with a little bit of Cherry Wheat Sam Adam's still splashing against my brain - I saw the following bumper sticker: "The Labor Movement - The folks that brought you the weekend"
I had the Cherry Wheat Friday night at my friend Cho's moving to San Fransisco party. I was on his back porch, and the weather was so nice, and I was reclining in this white canvas chair in the corner and (I don't usually smoke) inhaling a cigarette and i looked up and the moon was really bright against the the dark blue almost black sky and equi distant from the moon was a bright star and equidistant from that was a less bright star, and it was so symetrical and serene. 0 . .
And I realized that is what I would want tatooed to my arm. But, I already have a constellation of moles in a similar formation - so I won't be hitting the tattoo parlor soon.
Speaking of tatoos, we got a new fridge from our landlord last week. Our freezer hadn't been working for 4 months. Anyway, because the freezer was working again - I was able to heat myself up an organic enchilada. But I nuked it too much and I was eating it on the couch too fast without a shirt on. And my fiancee was trying to graze from the same small plate - and I spilled a big simmering piece of sauce covered tortilla on my chest.
It burned, and I stood up and flung it off me to the amusement of our 4 legged friends Winnie and Vynnie. Then I got up and danced around like Joe Cocker. Needless to say - I now have a 2.5" x .5" red burn in the shape of the praying madonna in the center of my chest. It doesn't hurt, but is is strikingly bright burgundy.
Anyway, I'd like to thank all the people that toiled for the labor movement.
